There are four separate and distinct organizations known as Bodies, each subordinate to the Supreme Council, but mutually dependent upon each other, constituting the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry. The area in which a Body is located is known as an Orient, thus, Valley of Columbia, Orient of Missouri.

The first Body in this Valley is the Columbia Lodge of Perfection, which confers the fourth through the fourteenth degrees. The second Body is the Columbia Chapter of Rose Croix, which in addition to providing Rose Croix funeral services for departed brethren and being responsible for annual Maunday Thursday and Easter services, confers the fifteenth through the eighteenth degrees. The third Body, the Columbia Council of Kadosh, confers the nineteenth through the thirtieth degrees. 

The Columbia Consistory is the fourth Body and confers the thirty-first and thirty-second degrees. Each Body has it's own corps of officers and is a complete order within itself, but for reasons of convenience and economy, our Bodies consent to the financial affairs and administrative duties being managed by the Lodge of Perfection.

The Columbia Valley is a volunteer organization, and as such, is always seeking committed Masons to serve as Four Bodies Officers, degree case members, choir members and on various committees. Some positions require a fairly extensive time commitment while others do not.
